Customer overview

With the Smart eTax CRM you can see all tax mandates at a glance. The automated traffic light system also shows the progress for the current tax year and informs fiduciary companies and their clients with automated and individual notifications in good time.

This way you can invest your valuable time and expertise in more important things than following up on minor details.

Cloud-based

DMS archiving

The increasing requirements for internal quality assurance pose recurring challenges for trustee firms. The DMS of the tax programme of Smart eTax reflects a uniform and visible folder structure. Staff and employees share virtually the same view for the archiving of tax returns and tax documents.

All information, data and tax documents are securely archived on Swiss servers for at least 10 years and can be retrieved at any time, regardless of location.

A semi-automated interface from the Smart eTax tool increases the efficiency for filing the documents in the Dr.Tax software and the tools of the cantonal tax administration.

Automated

To-do list

Smart eTax automatically creates a personal checklist for all clients. As a fiduciary company, you have the option of entering and assigning additional tasks individually. Thanks to this function, global checklists are superfluous.

From now on, all clients are in possession of a personalised task list, which shows the exact progress via the traffic light system and informs them in good time thanks to the notification system.

FAQ

Answers to the most frequently asked questions

Do I have to file a tax return with a B permit?

Do I have to file a tax return with a B permit?

Yes: Employees with an annual income of more than CHF 120,000 and a B permit initially pay withholding tax, which is automatically deducted from their salary. However, you will be obliged to submit a regular tax return.

The withholding tax already paid will be credited after the tax return has been submitted. Foreigners with a B permit in Switzerland therefore do not pay tax twice.

Perhaps: If the annual gross income with a B permit is less than CHF 120,000 or the threshold value of the respective canton, one usually only has to fill out a tax return if the taxable assets amount to at least CHF 100,000 and the income from these assets amounts to at least CHF 2,000.

Subsequent ordinary taxation also takes place if you:

have taxable assets of at least CHF 150,000 at the end of the tax year or tax period, or
in a tax year you have other income of at least CHF 3,000 that is not subject to withholding tax (e.g. income from self-employment, alimony).

Do I have to fill in a tax return with a C permit?

Yes! Anyone living in Switzerland and holding a C permit must submit a tax return, which is called a "tax return" in Switzerland. Foreigners with a C permit must therefore pay their taxes for several years, just like all Swiss citizens.

At the beginning of the year, you will automatically receive your personal tax return from your last registered municipality of residence as of 31 December. You pay your taxes to this municipality of residence.

How much does a tax return cost with a tax consultant ?

On Smart eTax you can get an individual quote for the completion of your tax return, the quotes are very accurate. Fill in the questionnaire carefully to avoid misunderstandings and additional costs for your tax return
